Biography
Mr Derrick Elemu is a lecturer and researcher in the Department of Development Studies at the University of Zambia. His work focuses on qualitative research, urbanisation and informal settlements, gender and development, environmental issues, and the appraisal and implementation of development projects. He also teaches courses on research methods, science and technology, and development. Mr Elemu holds an MA in Development Studies from the Institute of Social Studies in The Hague and a BA in Development Studies with Economics from the University of Zambia. He completed a fellowship in research ethics and integrity at Johns Hopkins University. His teaching experience, dating from 2002, includes work with Zambia Open University and a University of Huddersfield programme delivered in Lusaka.
